“When we do see each other, our conversations are polite,” she noted. “However, I don’t actively pursue these relationships anymore.”
Reflecting on her separation from Kody over a year ago, Meri shared that she has been focusing on personal growth during this time. “I’ve realized how crucial it is to surround myself with individuals who uplift me,” she stated.
Meri acknowledged that sometimes relationships serve their purpose for only a limited time: “It’s perfectly acceptable to let go if a relationship isn’t mutually beneficial.”
Christine’s Take on Their Friendship
In late 2022 during an episode of Sister Wives, Christine expressed her feelings regarding her fractured friendship with Meri. She candidly admitted that she was the one who chose to end their relationship due to feelings of betrayal.
“I made the decision; I ended it because it no longer felt safe for me,” she explained firmly. “I told her directly that we couldn’t be friends because I didn’t trust her.”
Christine elaborated further by sharing how attempts at reconciliation had failed: “We tried reconnecting in Las Vegas but unfortunately, I often felt belittled by her in public settings.”
She recounted instances where Meri would undermine or criticize her when family members were present: “When I reached my limit emotionally, there was no turning back.”
