Kinetic Green: Transitioning to a B2C Model in the Green Mobility Sector
Kinetic Green is poised to evolve from its traditional business-to-business (B2B) framework towards a more expansive business-to-consumer (B2C) strategy. During a recent media event, Founder and CEO Sulajja Firodia Motwani outlined the company’s ambitious growth plans, emphasizing their commitment to impact, innovation, outreach, and scalability as they strive to become leaders in India’s burgeoning green mobility market.
Motwani revealed that Kinetic Green aims to achieve an impressive revenue target of Rs 10,000 crore by 2030, with approximately 60% of this income projected to stem from their two-wheeler division.
Innovative Platforms for Electric Vehicles
Currently focusing on both two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments—key players in India’s electric vehicle (EV) transformation—Kinetic Green is developing two distinct platforms tailored for electric three-wheelers. These platforms are engineered with an emphasis on scalability, efficiency, and durability.
The L3 platform has already established itself within the marketplace. Designed primarily for urban environments, this low-speed electric three-wheeler offers various configurations suitable for passenger transport as well as cargo solutions. Motwani emphasized that this platform is entirely developed in India and adheres to FAME regulations while providing options for both fixed and swappable batteries. She noted that although subsidies can support the industry’s growth trajectory, Kinetic Green’s operational model does not depend heavily on them: “Our designs incorporate flexible battery systems aimed at reducing reliance on subsidies.”
In contrast, Kinetic Green’s advanced L5 platform targets higher performance metrics. With speeds reaching approximately 60 km/h and enhanced features such as Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) technology along with hydraulic brakes and independent suspension systems—this platform promises a driving experience akin to that of conventional cars. It supports heavier loads up to 500 kg while also boasting ultra-fast charging capabilities designed for efficient operations.
Expanding Two-Wheeler Offerings
In addition to these developments in the three-wheeler segment, Motwani announced plans for new two-wheeled models based on their innovative eLuna platform.
Aiming High: Revenue Goals by 2030
Kinetic Green’s goal of reaching Rs 10,000 crore in revenue by the year 2030 reflects its strong positioning within the rapidly evolving EV landscape. The company reported revenues of Rs 300 crore last year and has set its sights on achieving Rs 900 crore this fiscal year—with around two-thirds expected from their expanding two-wheeler offerings.
“Impactful innovation combined with disruption strategies drives our daily operations,” stated Motwani confidently. With significant expectations placed upon their two-wheelers segment contributing substantially towards overall revenue goals; Kinetic Green is making bold moves within this sector.
