Chennai: Actress Kareena Kapoor, married to Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, has recently expressed her distress over the relentless intrusion of paparazzi into her family’s private life. This comes at a particularly challenging time as Saif is recovering from serious injuries sustained during a violent incident. On Monday, Kareena took to Instagram in a heartfelt plea for privacy, urging the media to respect their space.
In her post, which featured images of new toys delivered for her children Taimur and Jeh, she implored followers: “Please stop this now. Have some compassion. Just leave us alone.”
However, shortly after sharing this emotional message, it mysteriously disappeared from her Instagram account.
The family has been grappling with immense stress following the attack on Saif Ali Khan just days prior. This isn’t the first instance where Kareena has sought privacy; she has previously voiced similar concerns regarding media attention.
Just three days ago, she released a statement reflecting on their difficult circumstances: “Our family is facing an incredibly tough time right now as we try to process everything that’s happened. I kindly ask that both the media and paparazzi refrain from further speculation and coverage during this sensitive period.”
She continued by acknowledging public concern but emphasized that constant scrutiny not only adds pressure but also jeopardizes their safety. “I respectfully request that you honor our need for space as we heal together,” she added appreciatively.
The troubling events began early Thursday morning when Saif was attacked by an intruder who broke into their Bandra residence around 2:15 AM. The assailant reportedly assaulted their house staff before turning on Saif when he intervened in defense of his family. The actor suffered six stab wounds; two were particularly severe due to their proximity to his spine.
Fortunately, an official update from his team later confirmed that he is stable and out of immediate danger while receiving ongoing medical care as he embarks on his recovery journey.
As they navigate these trying times together as a family unit, it’s crucial for everyone involved—fans and media alike—to respect their wishes for privacy and understanding during such a vulnerable moment in their lives.
