Spencer Pratt’s Candid Remarks on a Popular Podcaster
Reading Time: 3 minutes
Spencer Pratt recently expressed his frustration towards one of the most recognized figures in podcasting.
As previously reported, Spencer and his wife, Heidi Montag, experienced a devastating loss when their home was engulfed by flames during the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
In the aftermath of this tragedy, the couple has successfully garnered significant financial support through social media platforms as fans rally to assist them in rebuilding their lives.
A Financial Windfall Amidst Tragedy
“I earned around $4,000 from TikTok this week alone. However, during TikTok Live sessions where viewers can contribute directly to me, I believe I made about $20,000,” Spencer shared with Variety over the weekend.
“This is incredible and transformative. It highlights how powerful individual supporters can be when they rally behind you.”
While Spencer expressed gratitude for the overwhelming public support he received following their misfortune, he did not hesitate to call out one celebrity who has been notably absent in offering assistance.
A Call-Out to Alex Cooper
During a live session on TikTok with Bethenny Frankel, Spencer took aim at Alex Cooper—the host of “Call Her Daddy”—for her lack of promotion regarding Heidi’s music project.
“I reached out to [Alex] asking her to share our song and even contacted her husband [Matt Kaplan], saying it would really make a difference,” Pratt recounted during his conversation with Frankel (as reported by Page Six).
“She responded that they had many people displaced due to the fires staying at their home. I thought it was important for her to post about our song regardless.”
In contrast, he praised Sofia Franklyn—Alex’s former co-host—who now runs her own podcast titled “Sofia with an F.”
“Now I’m all about Sofia with an F; she posted our song and even created a dance for it,” he remarked enthusiastically.
Reviving Heidi’s Music Career
Amidst these challenges, Spencer has been actively promoting Heidi’s album Superficial, which celebrated its 15th anniversary just as they faced financial difficulties due to losing their home.
He admitted that he is uncertain how much revenue her music might generate following this crisis but emphasized that any amount would be beneficial since they are essentially starting from scratch again.
“It’s such an odd time right now. While everything was unfolding around us, I noticed an email indicating that the album was going live again—I couldn’t believe it! So I quickly made a TikTok encouraging everyone to stream it because we needed any source of income possible,” Pratt explained in his interview with Variety.
He continued expressing uncertainty regarding potential earnings from streaming services: “I have no clue how much money we might see or when those payments will arrive; everyone keeps advising me not to expect too much financially. What excites me more are the opportunities and energy surrounding this situation rather than just monetary gain.”
According to him: “The music industry thrives on touring and merchandise sales; that’s where artists typically earn money unless they’re racking up billions of streams—which isn’t happening yet! But I’m staying positive because it’s essential for navigating through these tough times.”
Since facing these adversities caused by wildfires, Spencer has gained over one million followers on TikTok—a testament that could help him continue raising substantial funds—even without assistance from Alex Cooper!
There is noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain nice points in features also.
