He stated that while seasons are expanding in scope, they often feel like repetitive tasks rather than engaging experiences.
To address these issues, Bungie is actively exploring non-linear campaign designs reminiscent of exploration-heavy games like Hollow Knight or even incorporating elements from genres such as roguelikes or survival shooters into their offerings. Each expansion will serve as an opportunity for experimentation with different gameplay formats.
Enhancing Player Experience
Bungie’s commitment extends beyond just new content; they aim to refine existing game mechanics as well. Significant improvements are planned for the activity user interface (UI) known as The Director—this overhaul aims at helping players easily locate enjoyable activities or specific rewards they seek within the game world.
