Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident Leaves Child with Severe Injuries
A young child has been critically injured in a hit-and-run accident, prompting an urgent airlift to a specialized medical facility.
The incident occurred on Central Drive in Shotton, Flintshire, around 5:30 PM BST on Thursday when the child was struck by a motorcycle. The specific age of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.
Following the collision, emergency services transported the child to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, where they are currently receiving intensive care for life-altering injuries.
In connection with this case, three individuals have been taken into custody under suspicion of obstructing justice.
North Wales Police Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan stated that law enforcement is actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the individual who fled the scene immediately after the accident.
