This marks a significant upgrade from the previous generation’s standard 12-megapixel telephoto camera found in the iPhone 16 Pro models.
The front-facing selfie camera is also set for an upgrade; sources indicate it will feature a resolution of 24 megapixels. In contrast, both the current-generation iPhone models—the iPhone 16 Pro and its Max variant—are equipped with only a modestly powered TrueDepth camera at just 12 megapixels.
